Note: PC series silicon steel blades require lower tension than carbon steel blades of a corresponding width. These blades can be identified by a brassy-looking stripe on the side of the blade.
Note: To preserve blade and tire life, always de-tension blades after use.

Special Instructions:
For miter joints, mill the first piece with the inside face flat on the table centered to the bit as shown in step 1 below. Mill the other piece with the inside face vertical to the bit and fence, as shown in step 2 below. For sturdy parallel joints follow step 1. Lay the other workpiece inside face up and mill.

The midpoint of the cutting pattern is 39/64 from the top of the bit. Raise the bit to 39/64" plus half of the stock thickness. Set the fence to the outer edge of the bit, then back off by the stock thickness. Cut one board with the inside face against the table, one board with the inside face against the fence.

Wood Carver Bits for Ryobi Detail Carver

Note: I have had several inquiries asking where one can find bits for this rather obscure tool. Although no longer made by Ryobi, Woodcraft has recently started offering replacement bits made by Flexcut under the name Flexcut Power Carver Blades. Unfortunately, their site doesn't allow one to set bookmarks for specific items. To get to the bits, choose Power Carving from among the Departments in the panel on the left-hand side, then select Power Carving Accessories, then Flexcut Power Carver Blades.
